How restaurant menu OCR works in Insta QR Menu
Generic OCR tools stop at text: you get every word on the page, in reading order, and still have to rebuild the menu by hand. Restaurant menu OCR in Insta QR Menu reads the page and works out what each line is — a section heading, a dish name, a description or a price — so the result is already shaped like a menu.
- Upload one file. A PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB (PDFs up to 20 pages). Phone photos, flatbed scans and image-only PDFs all work.
- The AI reads the page. Longer PDFs are read four pages at a time and merged into one menu, with repeated dishes removed.
- You get structured items. Sections, dish names, short descriptions and prices in your menu currency, with sizes such as small/large kept on one dish.
- Staff check before anything goes live. Fix any misread line in the menu editor. Allergen and dietary suggestions are never published until a member of staff confirms them.
- Publish. Share the hosted menu with a QR code, embed it on your website, or translate it for visitors.
